Sean and Kristen’s Downtown Detroit Engagement Session

We totally lucked out with a gorgeous sunny warm day over Thanksgiving break.  We captured some really fun images, and I appreciate Sean and Kristen’s willingness to go along with our crazy ideas. We had so much from walking around downtown. Kristen looked beautiful. I am anxiously anticipating their wedding which will be held at the Grosse Pointe Yacht club, complete with top hats.

My Kinda Town (with the kids)

Last weekend took the kids to  Chicago which is our favorite city.  Two full weeks of no school created cries of boredom every 20 minutes from our kids. Despite the fact they got plenty of Christmas presents they were still bugging us to go away. So we packed them up and headed to an action packed three days in Chicago. We went to the John Hancock Center, Cheesecake factory, Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, My American Girl, Lego Store,  and Navy Pier. I planned all these fun and amazing things to do but you can never predict the things kids will like. Ellie was like “Buddy the Elf”. She was obsessed with every revolving door in the city, and every time we turned around she was in the lobby of some hotel that had a fancy spinning door on the front. She begged us to see the Mummies at the Field museum but then refused to come in the exhibit because she thought the mummies would pop out of their sarcophagus and get her. Jack pretty much just enjoyed every place we ate, the cafeteria at Navy Pier, the Cheesecake factory, the vending machines in the Field museum, and the magical free breakfast at our hotel. I almost made him sit at a different table when he came back from the buffets with like 80 pieces of sausage on his plate like a link-n-log tower.  Hopefully the experience was memorable to them both. We love making them smile and creating great memories. Ian took the puffer fish picture, I think it was smiling at him.

Amazing Destination Wedding at the Sand Dollar Estate in St. Thomas

I just got back from one of the most amazing weddings I have had the opportunity to photograph. Jenny and Dave decided to hold their wedding at the famous Sand Dollar Estate in St. Thomas. They even added a trash the dress session and were willing to try all kinds of fun poses. I am still suffering from vacation withdraw. There are not enough adjectives to describe how romantic and beautiful the wedding was.

Sue - Famous ‘South Pacific’ beach shot …and you nailed it. Alot of cool creative shots. You nailed them all. Excellent work.

Janet Browne - Anyone that is lucky enough to have you do the photography at their wedding will be the holder of a work of art from the heart! Having you come from Michigan to do the photography, rather than using a local photographer (as good as they may be), was the best decision and a priceless investment in capturing the beauty, emotion and fun of the most important day of David and Jenny’s life together as a family. This is what you were meant to do!!

Laura and JJ at Fox Hills

Laura and JJ had a gorgeous wedding at Fox Hills Country Club.  Their ceremony was so romantic with a decorated arch looking over the golf course. We took a fun ride out on the golf carts and captured some awesome photos when the sun was peaking through the clouds.
