Katie and Sean’s MSU Wedding

I was so excited to be shooting at the MSU Alumni Wedding Chapel and Country Club of Lansing for Katie and Sean’s wedding. Katie has amazing taste and I knew her wedding was going to be gorgeous. We had scooped out great locations a year earlier, and Katie and Sean wanted to take photos at the MSU Botanical gardens and of course SPARTY! We had so much fun and Katie looked amazing.

Andrew and Brooke’s Gorgeous Detroit Country Club Grosse Pointe Wedding

Ian and I had such a great day with Andrew and Brooke. Seriously, we do not even feel like we are working when we are at weddings, it’s such a joy and honor to photograph one of the most important days of a couple’s lives.  Brooke and Andrew choose the Grosse Point Academy for their wedding ceremony. The church was built in 1899 and is designated an official historical site. It is breathtaking, with ornate carvings and huge vaulted ceilings that are robin egg blue and gold. The huge pipe organ was built in Quebec and flown in.  Their reception site was at the Country Club of Detroit, which was built in 1897.  The architecture was amazing, and we had so much fun shooting there. Brooke and Andrew had guests from all over the country including many from Canada, where a lot of Brooke’s family is from. Congratulations to them both, we are so happy for you Brooke and Andrew.

Jonathan, Suzanne, and Ozzy at Kensington

When Jonathan and Suzanne showed up for the engagement session they were both very giggly and obviously very happy I immediately knew photos were going to be fun. I have to admit though I was a little disappointed they didn’t bring along the third member of their family “Ozzy”. Luckily we were close to their home and after taking some shots of them alone, they were able to go home and bring “Ozzy” who was sooooo stinking cute.

Tim and Jessica’s Wedding Reception in South Lyon

Tim is my best friend Jennifer’s little brother. I have known him for ahem….33 years.  Tim and his wife Jessica were married at a hilltop resort in Maine.  I was honored that they asked me to take their photographs at the family reception held here in Michigan. It is crazy how fast time goes by. I am so happy for him and Jessica who looked absolutely gorgeous in her wedding dress. They both love the outdoors so when I saw this Kayak I had to take their photos by it.
